Seong-Jin Cho performs a piano recital centered on Chopin's waltzes, framed by Bach, Schönberg and Schumann. Dance, refinement and virtuosity come together in a rich and versatile program. Chopin elevated the waltz to sublime concert music, full of refinement, nuance and an almost weightless elegance. In the hands of Korean piano star Seong-Jin Cho, these miniatures acquire a special richness of sound and movement.
