To give form to these inner turbulences, Berlioz breaks new ground. He plays with conventions only to ultimately arrive at a revolutionary musical piece. That same spirit of innovation resonates in The Chairman Dances by John Adams and the Duoconcerto for trumpet, percussion and orchestra by Belgian composer Wim Henderickx. Is this classical?
