O Holy Night
Choir of St. John's College Cambridge
Het tweede album van het Choir of St John's met hun nieuwe dirigent - Christopher Gray. Centraal op het programma staan de sfeervolle Quatre Motets pour le temps de Noël van Francis Poulenc en de hartverwarmende Three Carol-Anthems van Herbert Howells, die het koor hier in St John's dirigeerde tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Andere nummers zijn onder andere het prachtige kerstlied There is a flower dat John Rutter in 1985 voor het koor schreef, en het bezwerende Peace on earth van Master of the King's Music, Errollyn Wallen. "Mijn doel met dit album was niet om nieuw terrein te betreden met repertoire, maar om ervoor te zorgen dat klassiekers fris blijven voor de huidige generatie" - Christopher Gray
