Dwell

Lauri Supponen's second full- length album 'Dwell' is a four-paneled portrait of coming home. 'The works on the album, Gaz aux étages for viola d'amore, Dwell for soprano and guitar, Eau & gaz à tous les étages for bass clarinet and Opus nen for baritone saxophone and electronics were written during a very fruitful composition period in 2016-17. All four share a focus on the alternation between small differences in tone and on the drive and the spatial awareness that the friction between these alternating elements in my mind generates'. beschreibt Komponist Lauri Supponen. 'As a composer, I'm interested in music that dwells – music that inhabits a second space and lingers there, until one accepts that that which is only becoming music is in fact already music.'

Dwell released on 1.5.2025 digitally as well as on vinyl and CD, produced by Supponen's own edition 'Äänitetuotanto OSK'.
