In Flanders' Fields vol.72 - Choir music from Poland and Belgium

Founded in 1948, the Polish Radio Choir performs works in all styles and from all epochs, with particular attention to Polish music. Conductor Herman Engels studied at the Lemmens Institute (Leuven) and at the conservatories of Antwerp and Brussels. He then studied choral conducting with Hans Grischkat (Stuttgart) and Wilhelm Ehmann (St. Moritz), and orchestral conducting with Otmar Suitner (Mozarteum Salzburg) and Pierre Dervaux (Paris). As an assistant to Vic Nees, he completed a stint as second conductor of the BRTN radio choir in Brussels.
