Domenico Balzani began his career in 1999 under the guidance of Angelo Capobianco, with whom he still specializes. He has won many competitions dedicated to opera singers, among them the Basiola of Cremona, the Tagliavini of Austria, the Belli of Spoleto, and the Placido Domingo Operalia of Hamburg. He has sung under the direction of many important conductors such as Yuri Ahronovich, Claudio Abbado, Donato Renzetti, Michele Mariotti, and Gianluigi Gelmetti, and has worked with famous directors as Franco Zeffirelli, Maurizio Scaparro, Hugo de Ana, Denis Krieff, and Christopher Loy.
