Das ist nicht das erste Mal, dass er Ravel aufnimmt, aber Julien Libeer möchte schon lange das gesamte Klavierwerk von Ravel durchgehen, wenn nicht sogar noch ein wenig mehr. Alles oder fast alles darin ist essentiell und es ist wie die Quadratur des Kreises. "Und doch machen wir uns an die Arbeit, 'mit allem, was wir ihm als Opfer anbieten können', wie Dinu Lipatti sagte. Das blaue Feuer seiner klaren Natur erwacht und mobilisiert sich. Und tröstet uns darüber hinaus über die Unvollkommenheiten der Welt."
