Mosa Ballet School proudly announces the opening of the Jeanne Brabants Studio, which is an addition to the existing 10 dance studios on the 12,000 square meter international campus. The Jeanne Brabants Studio, named after the renowned dancer and choreographer, offers a modern, fully equipped space for classical and contemporary ballet classes.

Jeanne Brabants, born on January 25, 1920 in Antwerpen, quickly distinguished herself through her virtuosity, passion and artistic vision. As a choreographer, she created innovative pieces that left their mark on the history of dance. As a pioneer of dance in Belgium, she choreographed numerous ballets, developed high-level training programs and engaged in in-depth theoretical reflection on classical, modern and contemporary dance. She launched the company that is known today as Ballet van Vlaanderen.
In addition to her stage career, Jeanne Brabants also devoted an important part of her life to dance education. She founded the school that we know today as the Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen, where she trained many talented dancers and influenced an entire generation of artists. Benjamine De Cloedt, founder and chairwoman of Mosa Ballet School, wanted to pay tribute to her and said: "The inauguration of the Jeanne Brabants Studio is a testament to our gratitude towards this great dance lady. This modern and inspiring dance space embodies her legacy, her passion for art and her dedication to artistic education." The inauguration was marked by a ceremony that brought together Jeanne Brabants' sister, Annie Brabants, with Benjamine De Cloedt and Damien Comeliau, founders of Mosa Ballet School, Olivier Patey, Artistic Director, Wilfried Jacobs, Pedagogical Director, Wim Broeckx, international guest teacher and former student of Annie Brabants, as well as all students of Mosa Ballet School.
