The Blokfluitdagen, which take place annually in the month of August in Mechelen, this year for the 37th time, welcomes you during the weekend of 18 to 20 August. This year the organization is focused on the joy of making music and under the guidance of no fewer than 30 Belgian and Dutch top teachers. Together with them, there is enthusiastic playing of new and old works, polyphony, singalongs and dances, sometimes on a small scale, then again in large-scale multiple voices.
94 ensemble sessions
On Saturday and Sunday there are approximately fifty ensemble sessions at different levels each day. During such a session the teacher distributes the parts at the beginning and the participants learn the work together. Everyone chooses a session (piece & teacher) at the moment. The ensemble sessions are divided by level. If you are unsure of your own level, it is best to first try an ensemble session at an earlier lower level. If necessary, you can adjust and aim higher during the next session.
Note: ensemble sessions cannot be prepared at home. You play from the sheet.
Registration mandatory
For the first time, the number of registrations for the Blokfluitdagen is limited. With 80 registrations on Friday and 140 on Saturday, these days are already sold out. For Sunday there are still about ten places available and you can register via the button below. Why don't you join us?
