The founders of Music Fund and Actions en Méditerranée (AIM) decided to embark on this venture because, like countless people around the world, they are horrified by all the victims of the current conflict in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. They think with sympathy of their friends in Palestine and Israel who, despite everything, still want to hold on to the possibility of lasting peace.
Michele Cantoni, the choir's founder, is an old acquaintance of Susskind and Pairon. Mathilde Vittu, the choir director, is a professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieure de Musique de Paris.
Susskind and Pairon managed to secure the support of a large group of associations and institutions: Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI), Amnesty International, the Mouvement Ouvrier Chrétien (MOC), Présence et Action Culturelles (PAC), Een Andere Joodse Stem (EAJS) and the Union des Progressistes Juifs de Belgique (UPJB).
It promises to be a magnificent concert under the patronage of Philippe Close, Mayor of Brussels. The proceeds from the concert will go to UNICEF projects in Gaza. Tickets can be purchased online via this link.

A message from Mathilde Vittu
The Amwaj choir from Palestine (Hebron/Bethlehem) presents a musical programme based on the figure of Dalia as the voice of people forced into exile. Through multilingual and multiple creation, we enter the intimate universe of a young Syrian girl. The young singers then sing their dream of freedom, with special dedication to the people of Gaza. With this new production, prepared in Hebron and Bethlehem, the artists hope to finally stand together on stage to "show solidarity with the suffering of the people through art" (Nelson Mandela).
