The title of this album testifies to the desire of the saxophonist from Winterthur to think big. think big. This album shows a subjective view of life, realized in a sensual musical language that tells about the experiences of this Swiss musician. Especially the time he spent in Buenos Aires, where he studied with Daniel Hector Montes.
Daniel Gubelmann studied in Zürich with Christoph Grab and in Bern with Andy Scherrer. He also attended masterclasses with Kenny Garret, Perico Sambeat, Art Lande and Enrico Rava. In 2014 he began studying classical and modern composition with Daniel Hector Montes in Buenas Aires, Argentina. Besides classical concerts for solo saxophone with the Orchestergesellschaft Winterthur and as leading voice and soloist of the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra, he has performed with the Zurich Jazz Orchestra, the Pepe Lienhart Big Band, the Flamenco Big Band, and many other big names in jazz and showbusiness.
