Recorder player Sabrina Frey and harpsichordist Philippe Grisvard have been working closely together for many years, which led to the desire to record a programme for recorder and harpsichord that exploits the tonal and interpretative registers of these two instruments. Although the manuscripts of the recorded works are now scattered in libraries across Europe and the United States, they all have one thing in common: they contain beautiful sonatas for recorder and harpsichord, recorder and b. c., all of which were composed within 30 years in Italy.
