This year the Ninth International Queen Fabiola Carillon Competition 2024 takes place from 10-14 July 2024 in Mechelen (Belgium)! Registrations are now open.
This competition, organized every five years by the Royal Carillon School Mechelen and City of Mechelen, seeks versatile carillonneurs of the highest level. The two mandatory pieces this time are by Joey Brink (carillon solo) and Jeroen Malaise (chamber carillon, percussion and piano). The full course of the competition and the repertoire can be found in the competition regulations. Prizes for finalists range from € 3,000 to € 1,000, with additional prizes such as the audience prize, improvisation prize and a prize for the best performed Belgian contemporary work, thanks to sponsors.
Candidates can register online and find all necessary information and regulations. The registration form and attachments must be submitted no later than 30 April 2024 at 23.59 (CEST). Participation implies agreement with the competition regulations.
