Music Fund and Steinway & Sons proudly announce a new cooperation agreement signed in January 2025. The world-renowned piano manufacturer will support the organisation with second-hand pianos of good quality.
Music Fund is permitted to offer these for sale to finance its projects with music schools and social initiatives in developing countries and conflict zones, as well as socio-artistic projects in Europe. What is special about the agreement is that Music Fund will donate at least one piano of good quality per year, supplied by Steinway & Sons, to one of its projects.
Music Fund could not have marked its 20th anniversary better (Music Fund was founded in 2005). It is more than a dream come true.
Another important partner of Music Fund, Griffioen Transport, specialised in piano transport, will take care of the collection of the donated pianos from the Steinway distributors with the best professional care. The instruments will then be sold by Piano Auctions, also a partner of Music Fund. The next online auction will take place on 1 April 2025.
None other than Daniel Barenboim, artist-ambassador of Music Fund and Steinway Artist, is delighted with this unique collaboration.
