Next month, the annual autumn festival **Musica Divina** kicks off, organized by Festival van Vlaanderen Kempen. This year the festival is themed around 'the Garden of Eden'. From September 19 to October 6, ten cities and municipalities in the Kempen will be flooded with heavenly music and special events that place the healing power of nature at the center.
Music and Nature
In addition to impressive musical performances, the festival this year also offers unique nature experiences. Visitors can participate in herb walks and enjoy the interpretations of visual scores by artist Frie J. Jacobs. The program is rich and diverse, featuring both classical and innovative musical performances.

Featured Concerts:
- September 19: The world-renowned **Brussels Jazz Orchestra** and accordionist Philippe Thuriot present their program 'Looking Within' at Abdij van Averbode. Composer Bert Joris has written new, whisper-quiet compositions especially for churches and cathedrals that provide a counterweight to the hectic pace of modern life.
- September 26: The Swiss top orchestra **Les Passions de l'Âme** under the direction of Meret Lüthi performs in Geel. The program 'In the garden of oboes' features oboist Benoît Laurent, with music by the Sammartini brothers, masters of the baroque oboe.
- October 3: Three international musicians take you on a musical journey in 'Nordic Lights in Persian Sky'. Benedicte Maurseth on the hardanger fiddle, Kiya Tabassian on the setar and percussionist Patrick Graham create a cross-cultural musical experience in Lier. This concert marks their first performance in Belgium following a successful tour in Canada.
- October 6: The festival closes with a grand event in Herentals. Under the title 'In What We Trust', **I SOLISTI**, the Flemish Radio Choir, Maud Vanhauwaert, Frederik Neyrinck, Bas Van Hoeck and LARF! join forces. This new production explores the meaning of religion and meaning-making for younger generations.
