After decades of studying Szymanowski's solo piano works, Zimerman presents an album with diverse repertoire from 1899 to the mid-1920s. It reveals the multifaceted nature of Szymanowski's musical language and sheds new light on the composer's previously lesser-known oeuvre. The album combines the recording made in 2022 at the Fukuyama Concert Hall, designed by world-renowned acoustician Yasuhisa Toyota, with Zimerman's previously unreleased recording from 1994. Karol Szymanowski: Piano Works thus concludes Zimerman's journey through Szymanowski's solo piano music, which began in 1994.
