Covent Garden was never as full as on the evening of the premiere. For this original English version, Alfredo Bernardini unites the fantastic voices of the Arnold Schönbergkoor with his lively Zefiro Barokorkest. The three soloists Miriam Kutrowatz, Daniel Johannsen and Damien Gastl tell the age-old story of how singer Timotheus once managed to change the mood of the great Alexander, by evoking a whirlwind of diverse emotions and thus emphasizing the power of music over politics and war.
