Cage²

The latest album by pianist Bertrand Chamayou, titled "Cage²", is in a sense the twin brother of "Lettre(s) à Erik Satie" which was released in November 2023, both recorded in the studio Miraval. In this album, Chamayou, assisted by dancer and choreographer Élodie Sicard, reinterprets the pieces that John Cage wrote for solo dances, particularly for American dancer Syvilla Fort, as well as for dancers and choreographers such as Valérie Bettis, Wilson Williams, Pearl Primus, Jean Erdman, and of course, the formidable Merce Cunningham.
