Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart was born in Vienna in 1791, only a few months before the death of his father, whom he knew only through his mother's stories. Constanze tried to shape him into a musical prodigy and gave him the opportunity to study with renowned teachers such as Albrechtsberger, Hummel and Salieri. He worked in many European cities and gained recognition and prestige. Today he would deserve more appreciation for the beauty of his music - and not only for his descent. This recording brings together his song cycle, which is closer to Biedermeier than to Romanticism.
