Alexander Nikolajevitsj Scriabin (1872-1915) is considered one of the more unusual composers. Light years removed from his Russian contemporaries, his original career was that of a glowing comet on the musical firmament of his time, whose many thousands of lights suddenly dimmed at their peak when he succumbed to blood poisoning. Like a sublime Icarus, captivated by infinity and the yearning for mystical ecstasy, his first steps followed the legacy of Fréderik Chopin (1810-1849). His youthful works, which in their refined lines carry the seeds of his boundless creativity, find in the hands of Clément Lefebvre an expressivity and poetic movement of rare elegance.
