This recording is devoted to Antonio Vivaldi's extraordinary works for bassoon and highlights the works in light of their autograph tradition. Based on the Turin manuscripts, a historically informed interpretation unfolds that makes the tonal variety and virtuosity of the bassoon in Vivaldi's late works impressively audible. Miho Fukui performs concerti for baroque bassoon and baroque oboe together with Ensemble F, thereby following Vivaldi's practice of flexibly organizing solo parts between the central reed instruments of his time.
