Concerto for Two Pianos

Part 10 of the series "Next Generation Mozart Soloists" presents rarely recorded works, including a concerto for two pianos (in the original instrumentation), separate pieces for violin and orchestra (an adagio and two rondos) and - in the style of the baroque concerto grosso - the Symphonie concertante for oboe, clarinet, horn, bassoon and orchestra. It is an opportunity to discover a number of excellent soloists with very different backgrounds: the piano duo Sakamoto, 2021 prize winners of the prestigious ARD competition in Munich; the Syrian violinist Bilal Alnemr, member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra; the Frenchmen Nicolas Ramez, also an ARD prize winner, and Gabriel Pidoux, who has already been recorded by Alpha (ALPHA789); Theo Plath, principal bassoonist of the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra, and Blaž Sparovec, principal clarinetist of the Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne.
