Alexandre Tharaud with three world premieres The new album of the versatile French star pianist Alexandre Tharaud contains three piano concertos, all world premieres written for him and dedicated to him. Commentary from the composers on their works: Alex Nante: "The playing of Alexandre Tharaud was an inspiration to me while composing the piece. From the first toccata in baroque style to the smooth, crystal-clear atmosphere of Anunciación to the energetic and powerful sounds of Toccata II, it was my intention in this work to explore the special interpretative facets that he possesses." Thierry Pécou: "Cara Bali could be translated as 'Bali style'. My aim was not to imitate the inimitable, but to awaken associations in my mind (...) - a kind of imaginary distraction or change of environment in a project that happily reunited me again with my faithful companion Alexandre Tharaud..."
