Dmitri Schostakowitsch: Streichquartette Nr.9 & 15

In the third installment of the acclaimed complete recording of Dmitri Sjostakovitsj' string quartets with the Carducci Strijkkwartet, the 9th and 15th string quartets are juxtaposed. The recordings were made as part of the Shostakovich 15 project with performances of complete quartet cycles in the US, Great Britain and Colombia on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the composer's death.
