just as with Stokowski, Fritz Kreisler's arrangements and "improvements" of other composers' works were both criticized and often appreciated as little pearls of perfection. Some find Kreisler's own compositions too sentimental and old-fashioned, but his arrangements of these pieces are remarkably free from sentimentality. The recordings were made between 1926 and 1938 for RCA and EMI.
