Great Recordings Newly Remastered

With this second 6-CD set, which contains numerous works that Leopold Stokowski performed live at the BBC in his final years, his extraordinary status as one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century is documented. While the successful first part contained pieces that had already been released before, this second part presents eight new BBC recordings that had not been officially published until now, as well as three CDs from the BBC Legends series. These have been remastered by Paul Baily to restore the sound as Stokowski wished it for his recordings.
