Gropius Quartett

The musicians of the Gropius Kwartet follow the example of Walter Gropius and, like him, have their creative center in Berlin and Weimar. Influenced by personal encounters with Yehudi Menuhin and Mstislav Rostropovich, the Gropius Kwartet has set itself the goal of working out the clear structure of the composition and bringing it to life with passionate playing. The members of the Gropius Kwartet have known each other since they studied together at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Gstaad and the Juilliard School in New York.
