Trio Gaspard is one of the most sought-after young chamber music ensembles of its kind and is praised for its unique and fresh approach to the score. The trio was founded in 2010, with members from Germany, Greece and Great Britain who all studied at the European Chamber Music Academy in Vienna. Trio Gaspard writes: "In this series of recordings we present Haydn's rich output for piano trio neither chronologically nor in the order in which the works were first published. Like the previous CDs, Volume 5 is conceived as a programme of contrasting trios that can be listened to in one sitting.
