On the occasion of his 60th birthday, French horn player Herve Joulain presents works by composers - mostly in premiere recordings - some of whom have personally dedicated these works to him. To be a musician of your time in the true sense of the word, you must be in contact with composers and their works of today. This means that you must devote yourself to works that need to be created and promoted, that you must engage in dialogue with composers, that you must inspire them with your talent to create new works, that you must explore the possibilities of the instrument and encourage the musician to take bold and as yet uncharted paths. This is realized here in an exemplary manner!
