The mutual influences and interaction between those two different musical personalities is fascinating: Erik s philosophical reflection and creativity, David s tempestuous passion for the double bass, and both of them having an open mind for all musical genres turns them into a fascinating pair, despite their young age. By means of this CD, they realize David s ambition to get the double bass away from its accompanying role in the orchestra and demonstrate the numerous possibilities of the instrument as a soloist. Moreover, for Erik it was an opportunity to write a new sonata for his brother!
