Under the Italian sky, the young Händel transformed moods into music and furnished Roman palaces with secular cantatas of glowing virtuosity. This theater of passions explores the thousand faces of love: from the torments of the dizzying Il delirio amoroso and the lightness of Sans y penser to the chains of Un'alma innamorata and the laments of Crudel tiranno amor. The soprano Marie Lys lends her magnificent voice to the heroines of "Dear Saxony". Under the direction of Gaétan Jarry, the Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal brings this Baroque élan back to life with utmost elegance.
