Following the great success of her Bach-Abel album, Lucile Boulanger celebrates the French viola da gamba with works by old masters such as Marin Marais, Sainte-Colombe, Nicolas Hotman up to the twenty-first century (Philippe Hersant, Claire-Melanie Sinnhuber and Gerard Pesson). Some were written especially for Lucile Boulanger: "It is no longer necessary to prove that my instrument is an integral part of our musical landscape. The viola da gamba is alive and well. It has been inspiring new compositions for decades and the vocabulary continues to expand," according to the performer.
