On the program are among others: Lili Boulanger: On a spring morning Chaminade: Serenade of the stars, Op. 142 Mel Boni: Songs of Vaudois, Op. 108 Louise Falanque: Rondelet no. 3 on the chansonette "Venez dans la Prairie" by Drieve Louise Falanque & Aristide Falanque: Concerto Variations on "Celui qui sut toucher mon coeur", a Tyrolean song by Madame Gaillou, Op. 22 Louise Bertin: Overture to "The Werewolf" Auguste Ormes: Three pieces Clemens de Grandval: Suite for flute and piano Performers Bardo-Corona Duo [Davide Bardo (flute), Chiara Corona (piano)] This is a collection of works for flute and piano by French female composers from the 19th century, including Louise Falanques, Cécile Chaminade and Lili Boulanger, who died at only 20-years of age 25, but they made a deep impression on the musical culture of the 20th century. These women were active in the heart of French culture and were pioneers in paving the way for female composers. Although each work displays its own personality and diversity, they all share the talent, sensitivity, musical intelligence and deep inspiration and thought of the composer. The Bardo-Corona Duo, which will perform the works, is an artist duo dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of these works and has been involved in the restoration of unpublished works by Farranc and Bertin from the collection of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. *Recording: July 2023 (Italy)
