Pelleas Und Melisande & Verklärte Nacht

The Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and its music director Rafael Payare celebrate the 150th birthday of Arnold Schönberg with a recording of two of his late Romantic masterworks: "Verklärte Nacht" and "Pelleas und Melisande". Both works are based on stories about love, jealousy, acceptance and forgiveness and showcase Schönberg's expressive harmonic language and his brilliant, versatile orchestration.
