His recording of Beethoven's later piano sonatas has the award-winning Romanian pianist Cristian Sandrin combined with the rarely performed piano arrangement of the Cavatina from Beethoven's String Quartet No. 13 Op. 130 by Carl Tausig. This relatively short piano arrangement serves as an epilogue to the cheerfulness of Op. 110, but also as a path to the unfathomable harmonies of Op. 111.
