Dans
A choreography about the evolution of the body from instinct to social being. Dance, scenography and movement form a dynamic whole in which physical expression and spatial transformation come together. Adam Linder has been seen multiple times at deSingel and now returns with a new creation for Danish Dance Theatre. In Drip Tekhne - The Evolution of Movement he explores how the body develops into a vehicle for dance. The performance unfolds in four phases: from instinctive, animal movement to hybrid, almost mechanical bodies, and ultimately to conscious, social individuals. What emerges is a dance community in which the body reaches its full expressive power. Linder works at the intersection of intuition and concept. His choreographies combine the earthly with the artificial, the rhythmic with the sculptural. Together with the dancers of Danish Dance Theatre, he creates an intensely physical and precise movement language. The scenographic design by architect Deniz Celtek consists of flexible modules that continuously reconfigure the space. Thus, not only does the body evolve, but also the environment in which it moves. Drip Tekhne is a sensory experience that presents dance as a unique, technical and human form of togetherness - a powerful and celebratory season finale.
