As a farmer's daughter, Melissa Mabesoone saw how the soil literally provided for her livelihood. That applies to each of us, but in a hurried society, that relationship sometimes gets overlooked. To feel that direct connection with the earth again, Louis Vanhaverbeke turned to agriculture. As a Black musician, Farida Amadou digs into the roots of the blues genre and seeks a new kind of rural music that escapes clichés.
