Battoe Travels is something we all do. To a distant place, another house, a new class – or simply every morning, when we step into the day. Sometimes we set off with great enthusiasm, sometimes with a knot in our stomach. Battoe starts from that recognizable feeling: being on the road in a world that is constantly changing. In this children's performance without words (but full of imagination!) the artists of music theater De Spiegel board a wooden raft full of hidden sounds. They navigate a sea of emotions, past joy, doubt, homesickness and pleasure, ever further from home and yet closer to themselves. Battoe invites young children to travel along with their imagination. What does it mean to go away? And what is coming home? In this warm, playful and poetic performance, everyone has the space to search for their own answers.
