Four dancers move through past, present and future in a poetic choreography about memory, colonial history and resilience. The consequences of colonization are profound worldwide. While some histories are more widely known, others - such as those of indigenous nations in Canada - often remain underexposed. Lara Kramer, a choreographer of mixed indigenous Oji-Cree and colonial descent, continually seeks connection with her roots through her work and explores how her family history translates into the body. She belongs to the first generation that was no longer placed in a residential school for indigenous children. In Remember that time we met in the future? four Oji-Cree dancers move through non-linear time. Past, present and future are indistinguishable, each movement harbors both ancestral memories and rich images of the future.
