On a basketball court, singing, electronics and rules of the game meld into a musical arena. Voices, rhythm and movement explore competition, power and the human drive to feel and connect. Eight players come together on a basketball court. The referee whistles. The game begins. Something bounces. A ball - or a beat. Are we witnessing a game? Or a hunt? For HUNTER, Flemish director, composer and multidisciplinary artist Liesa Van der Aa collaborates with the Berlin vocal ensemble B O D I E S. What begins as a game with rules and strategies unfolds into a reflection on competition, power and the human condition. Inspired by Homogenic by Björk, the production interweaves the playful voices of B O D I E S with new compositions by Van der Aa, songs by Björk and electronic sounds. This creates a musical arena in which game, rhythm and emotion chase each other. HUNTER is a quest for what moves us - a musical struggle against insensitivity and social upheaval, a hunt for the heart.
