The forest has always been an important place for Olivia Gay. She wanders alone through the forest and listens not only to the silence, but also to the murmur. It is a place of creation where her cellist instincts are awakened and where she can find peace outside the city. In 2022, she joined forces with the Office national des forêts (ONF) to raise public awareness of such spaces by inviting audiences to concerts held in the heart of the forest or in a natural setting.
This album continues this project and contains works by Jacques Offenbach, Camille Pépin, Edward Elgar, John Luther Adams and Max Richter; the programme as a whole is placed under the auspices of the beautiful Stille Woud by Antonin Dvořák, which also lent its name to this initiative.
