Le Radio Filharmonisch Orkest et le Groot Omroepkoor font un choix dans la collection de bandes sonores du grand compositeur de films sous la direction de son ami et collègue Stéphane Denève. Blockbusters Le compositeur et chef d'orchestre John Williams a remporté au cours de sa riche carrière plusieurs Grammy Awards et une poignée d'Oscars pour ses contributions à d'innombrables blockbusters. La liste des films pour lesquels il a écrit des bandes sonores est interminable : Home Alone , Jaws , E.T. , Star Wars , Raiders of the Lost Ark , Schindler's List , la série Harry Potter… Avec sa musique, il a grandement contribué au succès de la musique de film dans les salles de concert du monde entier. Héroïque John Williams a maintenant dépassé les quatre-vingt-dix ans, mais il compose toujours, et pas seulement de la musique de film. Pour les Jeux olympiques de 1984, il a composé Olympic Fanfare , qu'il a lui-même dirigé avec son cher Boston Pops Orchestra à la première.
